Nanlite Review - B&C Camera

Nanlite is a brand of LED lights and accessories that will help you achieve all of your photo and video goals! Depending on your scenery, having the proper lighting equipment can make or break your photograph. There is no bummer like realizing during post-processing that the photo you took lacks the appropriate illumination.

However, there are SO many options for lights and accessories, and it can be quite the head-scratcher to figure out what you should invest your money in. And, of course, your girl is here to help you with your lighting investment!

Let's go over some of my top Nanlite recommendations.

Nanlite PavoTube 15C 2' RGBW LED Tube with Internal Battery

Nanlite PavoTube 15C 2' RGBW LED Tube with Internal Battery

The Nanlite PavoTube RGB+W LED Tubes are great lighting additions that can even dim! These lights give off 1400 lumens at 5600K with a full spectrum RGB and built-in special effects.

Special Effect Features:
• 360 Static Light Colors
• You can recreate the lighting effects from a flame, lightning, an SOS signal, a cop car, and continuous flash in two different colors.

Each of the effects above has its own settings to help you fine-tune them even more to get the look you want. These light tubes have an LCD panel that makes them user-friendly to access and experiment with your special lighting effects.

This light kit doesn't weigh much and isn't bulky, making it easy to use on location. You can easily carry it around in the provided padded carrying case. An AC adapter is included with a built-in 2200MaH battery when you can't use the AC adapter.

Nanlite Forza 60 LED Monolight

Nanlite Forza 60 LED Monolight

The Nanlite Forza 60 LED Monolight is small but radiates a powerful light. This light uses a COB LED module to give off a 18820 Lux of 5600K daylight-balanced light at 1 meter. The Forza can also dim to 0% and doesn't need ND gels. You will also love the user-friendly pre-programmed special effects.

Special Effect Features:
• You can recreate the lighting effects similar to a TV screen, a flash, and a bad light bulb.

You can easily pack this light into a backpack since it weighs just under 2lbs. It also comes with the 60 battery grip to give you one hour of power when you aren't near a power source to plug in the adapter, a 5/8" receiver mount, and a 330-degree rotating yolk.

The Nanlite MixPad II 11C RGBWW Hard and Soft Light LED Panel gives you multiple lighting looks. You will have the traditional multi-LED array, a diffused SMD LED panel for soft light, or a colorful tunable RGB array.

This light panel will give you an incredibly professional-quality light to make your photographs and video pop. The Nanlite MixPad II 11C features different color temperatures to choose from. You can pick colors between 2700K-6500K and an average CRI of 98.

Without a doubt, this ultra-slender MixPad can fit on your desktop or even be mounted on a camera. With its small size, you can throw this in your bag and travel with it and its AC adapter and batteries.

The Nanlite MixPad II 27c Tunable RGB Hard and Soft Light LED Panel is another tunable RGB array but can also switch to a traditional multi-LED display for a soft-light or a diffused SMD LED panel.

This panel gives a great light intensity to give your photos a high-quality look. This light also has a slender profile to squeeze in tight spots that other lights can't fit in. You can get color temperatures from 3200 to 5600K and an RGB mode to give you red, green, and blue SMD LEDs to achieve 360 different colors.

Here is another slender LED panel from Nanlite. The Nanlite Compac 200B Bi-Color Slim Soft Light Studio LED Panel will give the light you would expect from a giant softbox. However, its svelte design makes it easy to travel to and fro with!

You can easily control this LED panel from the back to alter the brightness and color warmth from 3200K-5600K. You will achieve gorgeous shots without cloth diffusion or plastic filters.

This light panel is ideal for shooting videos anywhere or using in a studio. You will get up to 16720 lumens worth of illumination!

Nanlite MixPanel 150 RGBWW LED Panel

Nanlite MixPanel 150 RGBWW LED Panel

The Nanlite MixPanel 150 RGBWW LED Panel will quickly let you go from hard, soft to colored light. You can also reach 0 to 100% dimming, magenta/green color adjustments with a whopping 43 gel preset from only two light sources.

I saved my favorite for last. This LED panel will give you gel emulation presets to drool over! And to top it off, you can save settings as presets.

Special Effect Features:
• You can recreate the lighting effects to mimic hue loop, CCT loop, flash pulse, storm, siren, TV screen, paparazzi, and even fire.

You can power this LED panel with an AC adapter or batteries to use wherever!

These light options will give you what you need to separate your photographs from the amateurs. They will help with color accuracy that some other light options can't provide. The light you use will help you have control over your situation.
