Reviews

The TAMRON 16-50mm F2.8 A lens is a versatile standard zoom lens designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras. It's perfect for photographers who want to capture everything from wide landscapes to intimate portraits, all with one lightweight and compact lens.

Image Quality

This lens offers a focal range from 16mm to 50mm, which translates to a full-frame equivalent of 24-75mm for Sony E-mount, Nikon Z mount, and FUJIFILM X mount cameras. The fast F2.8 aperture provides beautiful bokeh, which is the soft background blur that helps your subject stand out, and sharp rendering for expressive images.

Autofocus

Equipped with a high-speed, high-precision VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) autofocus mechanism, this lens captures fleeting moments with ease. It tracks subjects smoothly, making it ideal for photographing kids or pets, and operates quietly, which is great for both stills and video.

Build & Handling

Weighing just 305g and measuring 79.6mm in length, this lens is designed to be your go-to option for travel and everyday shooting. It features a moisture-resistant construction to protect against the elements and a unique front cap with strap holes to prevent accidental drops.

Video Capabilities

The 16-50mm F2.8 A lens excels in video shooting, making it a great choice for lifestyle clips and travel vlogs. The wide 16mm end allows for engaging selfie shots while capturing the background, and its silent autofocus ensures a smooth recording experience.
