16mm f/1.4 DC DN

The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN, part of Sigma's Contemporary series, combines a wide-angle design with an ultra-fast f/1.4 maximum aperture, making it ideal for low-light conditions and offering enhanced control over depth of field for selective focus. Designed for Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras, it provides a 25.6mm equivalent focal length for APS-C-format sensors. The optical construction includes two special low dispersion (SLD) elements and three F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements, which effectively reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations, ensuring sharpness and clarity across the aperture range. Additionally, two aspherical elements limit distortion and spherical aberrations for accurate rendering. The lens elements feature a Super Multi-Layer Coating to minimize flare and ghosting, enhancing contrast and color fidelity even in strong lighting. A stepping AF motor ensures fast, quiet, and smooth autofocus, making it suitable for both still photography and video applications. The lens also boasts a rounded nine-blade diaphragm for pleasing bokeh, a durable brass bayonet mount, and rubber sealing to protect against dust and splashes, striking a balance between performance, portability, and durability for a versatile shooting experience.
